Steel-toe, the âMastermindâ:
Steel-toe is the founder of UCW Records. The name UCW comes from law enforcementâs acronym for âunlawfully carrying a weapon.â Steel-toe chose to name his company after this offense because everyday he walks around strapped with the Word of God. This businessman and entrepreneur knows what it means to step out on faith and walk in Godâs promise. All of his enterprises reflect Godâs influence and are resources that fuel the ministry. Since his adolescent years, he has felt the call of God on his life to rock the mic and rep the Kingdom. He is a versatile MC with a unique voice that grips listeners. He knows how to drop knowledge and scripture and make it entertaining.
Khan-Quest, the âMaestroâ:
Khan-Quest is the producer of the group. His love affair with music began at an early age. He developed a passion for all genres of music, but nothing moves him like hip hop. Khan-Questâs appreciation for all types of music is evident in his producing. His hybrid tracks are a fusion of hip hop, jazz, R&B, rock, gospel, reggae and classical music. This musical synthesis appeals to hip hoppers who want something a little different and attracts listeners who donât consider themselves hip hop fans. As an MC, Khan-Quest is a true lyricist who experiments with different rap styles and rhyme patterns in order to intrigue listeners.
Dirty Bird, the âNegotiatorâ:
Dirty Bird is the mouthpiece of the group. This street wise brother is nothing new to hustling. Back in the day he could talk you out of your shirt and your shoes and make you think he did you a favor. When this cool cat came around, fellas hid their wallets, and mothers hid their daughters. These days, the only bridge heâs trying to sell is Jesus who bridges the gap between God and man. He uses his arts of persuasion to compel souls to Christ the way police negotiators talk jumpers down from building tops. This MC. has a unique way of putting words together and his delivery is powerful and captivating. If Dirty Bird canât convince you to try Jesus, no one can.
Together the âbusiness manâ, the âmusic manâ, and the âhustle manâ form the Appointed Kingdom Ambassadors. As representatives of the Kingdom of Heaven, their mission is to lead lost souls to Christ and to redeem hip hop music.
