Details:
With their homebase now spanning from Madison, WI to Minneapolis, MN, Apparently Nothing has now gone regional. Playing shows in Madison during the summer and Minneapolis in the winter, this band will meet in the middle and soon take over the midwest. Some have referred to Apparently Nothing as Nirvana plays Guns nâ Roses, Radiohead with balls, and U2 without the shitty songs or that douchebag Bono. Letâs let it be clear. You need to hear this band.

In the spring of 2004 the band returned to the studio to record a follow up disc to their debut, âIf Only for Silence...â. Recording drums at DNA studios and finishing the songs at their home studio, Apparently Nothing was able to take their jolly, sweet time in completing their follow-up, âSay What You Willâ. The album, mixed and mastered by Eric Katte, includes 2 tracks recorded at the legendary Smart Studios in Madison, WI. By revealing a new, matured sound, Apparently Nothing released âSay What You Willâ on August 1st of 2004.

With their 3rd album, "Sprawl" recorded yet again by Eric Katte, Apparently Nothing plans on selling out big-time to the mainstream media within the following year. Donât think our sound is marketable to your target demographics? Feel free to change it!

And now to bore you with some specifics: Apparently Nothing has been playing together for years -paying their dues and amassing countless original tunes. They started as a common interest between grade school friends Aaron Shekey (Lead Vocals, Guitar, Songwriting) and Ryan McGrew (Bass, Vocals). While writing the original AN tunes they soon found their charismatic lead guitarist Jim Lincoln (Lead Guitar, Vocals). Sure, the original three-piece Apparently Nothing kicked ass, but now they melt some fucking faces. They chainsawed through a revolving door of drummers and fi nally found the animal that is Layne Knutson (Drums, Rocking). Why havenât you heard Apparently Nothing yet? Didnât you get the memo? Why do you require a biography on this band? This band is white-fucking-hot. Book them now before theyâre too big for your venue and youâre left crying about it.

How about a few quotes?

"The lyrics are serious, the hooks are catchy, and the production is clean, but something beyond that was motivating me from one song to the next ... I was warm and subtly disoriented, but delighted at my discovery." -Jenny Odegard (The Wake)

"I think hearing it will help you see how a band is able to take influences, blend them, and create something entirely unique. Apparently Nothing continues to invent and re-invent their sound, doing things that make their albums worth hearing! Iâm a fan, and I think I always will be." -Mark Lush (Midwest Bands.com)

"Apparently Nothing's strength lies in Shekey's singing skills and his ability to construct well crafted pop tunes ... Apparently Nothing are truly remarkable." -Rick Tvedt (Rick's Cafe)

"There are no bad songs, just bigger favorites ... I am very impressed with the writing, the instrumentation, and the overall attention to quality that Apparently Nothing has provided on this CD ... We may be looking at the stars of the future!" -Mark Lush (Midwest Bands.com)

"These youngsters have a lot going for them. Poppin'-fresh rock tunes with guts and hooks. Aaron Shekey, lead singer and guitarist, has a strong voice with power and range." -Rick Tvedt (Rick's Cafe)

"Apparently Nothing has a style all its own" -Middleton Times Tribune
