If you arenât familiar with Angel Rattay yet, you will be. Angelâs voice is unlike any other artistsâ in country music today. She possesses a lustrous voice with dynamic range and clarity. Angel is making waves in the music world with her unique sound and obvious passion for country music. Live performances are always fresh and exciting. Her band consists of six of the most talented musicians in the Midwest, many of whom have performed onstage with some of the biggest names in the industry.

Born and raised in Kansas City, Angel comes from strong musical roots. Her mother is one of six children and was the youngest in the familyâs traveling band. Each year at family reunions, the guitars come out and everyone joins in singing around the fire pit. One year when Angel was about three or four years old, they were at such a reunion and all of the children were proudly showing off their church songs for their grandmother, simple songs such as Jesus Loves Me. Angel eagerly got up in front of everyone to show off her song choice. To her motherâs slight embarrassment, Angel belted out âHit the Road Jackâ... and so it began!

âI believe my first public performance was forth grade. We sang Anne Murrayâs A Little Good News Today. I sang my heart out, front row. After that I spent a lot of time practicing my acceptance speech. Thatâs the truth, I can remember doing it!â

Angel got her feet wet singing in her motherâs restaurant in Southern Missouri, where she developed her confidence and stage presence. This was where she realized that her dream was to sing her heart out in front of fans who connect with her music.

Angelâs ever-growing popularity has brought her to perform at clubs, fairs, rodeos and festivals in the Midwest, including the American Royal and The Country Stampede. She has also started to gain popularity internationally, with airplay in Australia, New Zealand, and Sweden.

Produced by Tom Harding at Tombstone Recording in Nashville, FLYING BLIND is refreshingly honest revealing who Angel Rattay is. âThe most time consuming part of the process was just picking the songs. I think I spent nine months just narrowing down the hundreds of songs to these fourteen. I wanted to LOVE them, itâs my heart and soul in that album. It IS me.â

Releasing her first album independently has given Angel a distinct advantage over most artists. âIâve learned to appreciate and understand things that I could never have if a label had put the project together for me. Now if a label stands up and takes notice of me, Iâm ready. I wasnât before.â

With FLYING BLIND completed, what are Angelâs future plans? âTo get out there! Iâd like to do as many live shows as we can, work on airplay and just get more exposure. Hopefully the fans will love and connect with these songs as much as I have.â
