Details:
I took about 2 years of piano lessons starting when I was seven, but I really hated practicing. My parents eventually gave up fighting the daily battle of trying to get me to practice. I remember one lesson where I was squirming so much I fell completely off the piano bench and onto the floor. But Iâm grateful now for my early long-suffering piano teacher, Margie Cleaver, and for my parents who had the wisdom to know when to throw in the towel. My older brother Philip took piano lessons for eleven years, and once when he was home from college he sat down at the piano and played a beautiful and effortless piece. I asked him what it was, and he said he had just been making it up as he went. At that moment, I realized I would give anything to be able to play like that. I started playing whatever I could think of, and it just took off from there. That was less than three years ago. My undeserved and unearned gift of playing the piano is a constant reminder of Godâs love for me. The pieces reflect the passions and defining moments in my life: my faith, relationships, childhood memories, travels in Scotland, performing music with my family. I sincerely hope you enjoy this music!

What others have said about the music:
âI've been listening to it while I paint and have been able to stay more focused on my work. Selections such as "Oh the Deep, Deep Love of Jesus" and "Jesus Loves Me" calm me. I think it's because the words are in my consciousness even though there's no voice singing them. "Be Thou My Vision" reminds me that my artistic gift is to be used for God's glory. And Andy's self expression in "Dabbling on Guitar" and "Perfect Mess" remind me to be myself, the passionate self God created me to be.â Painter, Colorado

âI love your CD! The music is so creative--beautiful melodic, rhythmic, and chordal interest and expressiveness. I like the contrasting moods, the energy, the music from the soul. You're terrific, both on piano AND guitar! I love hearing you and your Dad play together! I'm so proud of you, honored to be able to enjoy your original music, and blessed to know your motivation is Christ-honoring. I love YOU, Andy, and am privileged to know you from age 3, to be the teacher who saw you squirm off the piano bench, to remember such happy times with you, and to rejoice as you have grown into such a Godly, gifted, well-rounded, outstanding young man.â Margie Cleaver

I chose his CD today for my drive to the interview. It reminded me to just be who I am . . . His music comes from somewhere deep inside, some secret, beautiful place that God made in Andy. Andy's music reflects who God has created him to be, and in my humble opinion, that's what gives his music the ability to inspire others, to remind us to let God's spirit flow through us, and just be who we are. His music is a gift and a blessing.â Writer, Colorado

âI am right now listening to Andy's CD. As I listened to only the first piece and read the inside notes and the comments on some of the songs, it brought tears to my eyes. What a blessing Andy is! What gifts! The young man AND his music! I would like to buy at least 2 more CD's . . .â Friend, Colorado
