Emerging from the beautiful island of Saint Vincent, one of the wonders of the Eastern Caribbean, Anita Charles, an ex-school teacher and life-long musician is the proud Mother of three beautiful children Shem, Shemile and Shan, and the wife of Dennis D. Charles. Her goal is to conduct her ministry endeavors in continuum with that of Christ while He was on earth⦠through serving others, to the glory of God.

Anitaâs quest for excellence in life led her in search of meaningful opportunities that can fulfill her desires and propel her into her God-given and predestined future. In light of this, Anita migrated to the United States shortly after she was awarded Best Popular Vocalist in the 1986 St. Vincent and the Grenadines National Music Festival. Since then, Anita has climbed the ladder of success and is still climbing, as she refuses to allow success or failure to prevent her from receiving her God-given inheritance. Anita firmly believes that a successful life and ministry emanates solely out of relationship with God, and therefore measures her success according to the depth and degree of her relationship with the Lord.

With this spiritual awareness, Anita seeks diligently to glean information and insights about herself and her Creator by maintaining a teachable posture with the understanding that learning is an unending process. This mindset of the need to acquire knowledge has allowed Anita to successfully graduate the Kingâs University, Los Angeles, California with a degree in Practical Theology and one in Christian Ministries. She was also graduated with honors, upon which she received the Delta Epsilon Chi award, in recognition of her outstanding and excellent academic performance, and is thereby given the status of Honorary Membership by the Honor Society of Accrediting Association of Bible Colleges in the United States of America.

Anitaâs dedicated and intimate relationship with her Creator genuinely reflects the purpose of being born in the image and likeness of God, as she ministers to, enlightens and uplifts audiences internationally and within the United States. As the CEO and founder of Anita Charles Ministries, Anita prepares young and old to ascend to higher altitudes in life, while focusing on key spiritual principles.

This multi-talented artiste cannot be categorized into one simple category, as she exhibits the gifts of singer/songwriter/poet and motivational speaker. Hence, it is a delight to experience her preaching, singing, or simply lifting up praises to God. As a speaker, she engages audiences and immediately connects to them through thought-provoking dialogue, leaving them forever changed. Her inspirational lyrics and artistic abilities are clearly expressed through her writings of over three hundred original songs. Her passion for the presence of God readily creates a sudden change in the atmosphere that moves her audience to ecstatic praise and heart-felt worship.

During her ministry to others, whether individually or congregationally, her proclamation is known to be characteristic of flowing in the anointing and moving in the gifts of the Spirit such as the Word of knowledge and the Prophetic. Anita avouched that life is beautiful and should be adventurous and meaningful. Much of Anitaâs strength and tenacity merges from lessons learned through sicknesses, disappointments, failures and success. Experience teaches her to love humankind unconditionally and to resist the temptation to be judgmental or critical.

Anita comes alive when she reflects on the precious opportunity she enjoyed for over thirteen years of working with children in the United States. Anita is the former owner/director of Kids Village Family Day Care of Los Angeles, California. During her years of operating this business, she has bonded with hundreds of children from all across the globe, and feels satisfied that she has imparted to them loving nuggets of self-confidence, self-esteem an awareness of the reality of God, and the tools necessary for a successful life. Anitaâs excellent performance as an advocate for children has earned her not only praises from the parents of the children she nurtured, but also gained the attention of the Los Angeles Parent Magazine in March of 1997, where she was featured by the editor as âThe vibrant native of St. Vincent who has a direct, expressive gaze and a calypso lit in her voice and whose movements and speech are integrated, rhythmic.â Also the Los Angeles Westwood Newspaper revealed the unusual services that Anita renders to those in need.

Anita is also known for her gift of giving and for vicariously sharing in the joy that others receive through her charitable donations to churches, families and individuals. She delights in searching for opportunities to bless others through her giving, and therefore desires and expects to be unusually blessed by God, so that her intentions, dreams and visions for the work of Lord can be realized.

Over the years this unique international gospel artiste has been featured in the media such as newspapers, television and radio, reaching thousands of people with her message of encouragement and incentive, making an immeasurable impact on the lives of those within her particular sphere of influence.

Anitaâs most recent musical venture is her cd project, âChristianize the Cultureâ which released in May, 2006. The combination of calypso rhythms, reggae and R & B/Rap heart felt lyrics from her dynamic and versatile songwriting abilities, along with her apparent enthusiasm, is continuous throughout this project. Anita also produced other musical/video projects namely "A Better Way to Celebrate" and "Taking it Back" Dedicated to bringing change to the nations of the world, Anita comes back with her new hit "Christianize the Culture."

Anita has a strong unwavering commitment to God in allowing Him to use her life in making a difference in the lives of others that extends well beyond the pulpit, stage and microphone. Anita also believes in the youths and maintains that in order for them to be successful⦠adults need to cultivate a posture of demonstrating healthy and trustworthy relationships with them, and thus evoking a desire for accountability, responsibility and ethical morality.
