Details:
A simple newspaper ad led blues vocalist and harp player Wavery Milor to the Virginia basement where he met guitarist Steve Remy and drummer Chris Ruckman. Three years later, with blues veteran Steve âWolfâ Crescenze on bass guitar, this band has found its stride with a new album and a steady following in the DC blues market.

The band's latest release, aptly entitled âI Think I Made It,â shows that Acme Blues Company's songs are as diverse as its members. From the wrenching emotion of âNo Shortage of the Bluesâ to the hard-driving âA Little Somethin' Somethin'â to the self-deprecating humor of failed pick-up lines in âHey Babyâ, this collection throws some interesting spins into the traditional blues sound.

Milor's soulful vocals and Remy's articulate, masterful guitar work bring the blues to life by combining a modern feel with a traditional blues foundation. With the release of their full-length studio compilation, fans around the world are discovering what blues legend Pinetop Perkins said after a recent jam with Acme Blues Company: âThem boys can play!â

The 12-track CD includes a guest appearance from DC-based keyboard hero Daryl Davis (Muddy Waters Legendary Blues Band; Chuck Berry; Cephas & Wiggins) as well as guitarists Mike Westcott and Robert Hahn.
