'In the Shadow of Sound' is the sophomore DIY release from Santa Cruz, California's Automatic Animal. Our recipe for original hard rock is add equal parts driving guitars with bombastic drums and thundering bass, mix with soaring vocals and bring to boil on your stereo.

These six songs were recorded in six days at Phase Four Studios during the intense summer 2005 monsoon seasons in Tempe, Arizona. Ralph Patlan engineered and produced the tracking and Everen Gokner mastered the project at Capitol Mastering.
