Details:
For some of the four band members their friendship goes back as far as early childhood. Founded in 2002 and formerly known under a different bandname, the group has gained a lot of artistic experience by playing local and national festivals alongside such renowned bands as Maximo Park, I am Kloot, Amplifier and Hollywood Porn Stars. This way The Air Collective has been able to establish an increasingly growing fan base. Not only a mutual love and passion for music fuels this well tuned quintet, but also a feverish ambition to go as far as possible with their music and as a group.
In spring 2005 the band started recording their debut EP. The perfect partner for this project was found in music engineer and producer Aiden Gilligan who has worked with different well-known international bands. In this constellation a bunch of refreshingly new songs was born, formed with a loving attention to detail. The band generally plays in the set up of vocals, drums, bass, lead and rhythm guitars, but for the forthcoming album numerous additional instruments and subtle electronic elements have been used to shape songs.
The Air Collective's debut EP was mastered by Tim Young at Metropolis Studios and was released on May 26th 2006.
