Dreadnaut was formed in the summer of 2003. The shows have gone from small crowds in an empty bar, to packed shows with crowds as crazy for the music as they are about playing it. They put everything they have into each song and try to put out as much energy as the crowd is giving back.
They released their EP in the summer of 2004, which was received with great response. The band played show after show in support of that EP for a year, building a fanbase, meeting and playing with other great bands, and working hard on writing the next release. In the summer of 2005 they released their first full length album, a new design, which showed their musical growth, as well as giving the band a sense of direction they had never had. The sound has become more pointed, and focused since the release. The CD has garnered continuous radio play, and combined with the website, has earned international interest. Dreadnautâs Album will be released internationally as of June 6th, 2006 and are touring Canada as of July, 2006.
There is no rest, or complacency in Dreadnaut, and any success only fuels the fire and makes them hunger for more. Work on the next album is well under way, and you can be sure it wonât disappoint because Dreadnaut are their toughest critics, and wonât rest until itâs up to the high standards that they set for themselves.
