With their blend of catchy melodies, vocal harmonies reminiscent of yesteryear, and a powerful instrumental cocktail highlighted by the booming rhythm section and a lead guitarist with "serious chops", Dr. Thunder has seen a great deal of success since their formation in 2002. Hailing from suburban Hamilton in the lovely Garden State, DT has been rocking the East Coast from down in Williamsburg, VA up to Saratoga Springs, NY (and everywhere in between) since its founding. Sam Thacker represents the caucasian faction of the band while at the same time lending lead vocals and rhythm guitar to the mix. Krishnan Vasudevan is a guitar virtuoso and plays lead accordingly, also singing backup vocals. The brothers Ramachandran hold down the rhythm section with the elder (Bittu) rocking steady on the drums and the younger (Sandeep) keeping that bass pounding. With 2 EPs under their belt and an ever-expanding international fan base, things are only looking up for this rock & roll powerhouse.
