Keith Jewell is currently a local resident of Portland, Oregon. Born in the UK he spent many years in South Africa where he developed his style of linking numbers together at all the major hotels in Cape Town.
Living in the US for the past 12 years, he played piano on the Portland Spirit until his recent semi-retirement.
He received his classical music education at the Royal Academy of Music in London and was involved as solo performer, accompanist, conductor, teacher and lecturer, also making broadcasts and recordings with the BBC.
In South Africa he was also Musical Director of the Waterfront Theatre School, Head of Music Department at the College of Education, City Organist and Conductor of City Hall Concerts and several musical shows.
