Parody and novelty songs have been part of Mason's canon from early on in his musical career. He began his folk writing career with a collection of tunes called Them Poems - and has been writing odd-ball parodies and original tunes for 40 years since. That time has allowed him polish this craft - and what you are looking at here is a masterpiece of spoof! But Mason, being a person who treasures music and especially music of the Holidays is careful not to tread into the territory of satire. These recordings are clearly loving celebrations of the Holidays, Holiday music and all the joy and laughter that comes with the season.
