Drew James, a San Francisco native, began writing and performing his own songs in 1996. He performs his solo act all over Northern California, primarily in the bay area, including the Bread and Roses concert series.

Drewâs recordings have received airplay in the U.S. and Europe. In 2006 he released a new 13 original song CD, âThe Last Second Chance,â recorded at Fantasy Studios in Berkeley backed by outstanding musicians. The new CD, produced by Bruce Kaphan, has been submitted for Grammy consideration.

His first solo recording âAs Far As I Knowâ features 14 of Drewâs original songs. He has also appeared on Shuteye Recordsâ âUnited State of Americanaâ compilation CD. That CD made it to #53 on the Americana Music Association charts in 2005.
