PC Giambi is originally from Eden, North Carolina outside of Greensboro. Born Greg Corbett, PC Giambi was influenced by artists such as Run DMC, Native Toung, Nas, Common, Mos Def, and the Roots. As a young man he was inspired to make his own music. He started performing at a young age in talent shows and since then he has come a long way. PC Giambi started off strictly as an M.C., on the independent label called Loochie Records. While he began working in his cousinâs recording studio, his coworkers started giving him some of their tracks to record with. In 1996, Columbia Records signed Da 5 Deadly Venoms, a group that he was with at the time, but now he performs as a solo artist. In 2001, PC Giambi started his own independent record label Dot 3 with his cousin, J Dibiasie. His label has come out with numerous albums and mix tapes with eight different artists under the label. PC Giambi also started his own publishing company called Power Culture Composition, which is affiliated with the American Society of composers, authors, and publishers, ASCAP. He came to Middle Tennessee State University with an artist management associate degree and a recording engineering degree. He graduated in August with a BA in Audio Production Technology at Middle Tennessee State University Recording Industry department.
