Neiliyo (a.k.a. Neil Petty) burst onto the Austin music scene in late 2008 and hasnât stopped hustling since. He has received considerable blog love, press coverage, and garnered a hoard of enthusiastic, devoted fans ready to dance. Compared to everyone from Calvin Harris to LCD Soundsystem to Hawnay Troof, Neiliyo never fails to get noticed. Neiliyo's hyperactive sound and preppy image is second only to the unmatched energy that goes into his live show. With simply an iPhone, a mic, and a guitar, crowds are drawn to his light-hearted, whimsical dance beats, but are won over by his tenacity and charisma.

Like any independent bedroom producer, Neiliyo produces his own music, D.I.Y. style. That hands-on style was reflected in Neiliyoâs debut LP, People Skills, and accompanying mixtape, Copywriting 101âboth digitally self-released in early 2009.

In addition to regular sets at the hippest clubs in Austin, Dallas, and Houston, Neiliyo has used his remix skills on tracks for Austin's emcee Zeale, Passion Pit, and others. Neiliyo was a finalist in the Dell Last Band Standing Remix Contest in Chicago and served as a top-notch hype man for the DJ Car Stereo (Wars) Lollapalooza 2009 set. The collaboration was so well received that they repeated their performance at Fun Fun Fun Fest.

For his highly anticipated follow-up EP, Game Night, Neiliyo teams with Austin boutique label Artifact Workshop Records to create an evening of games and music. The release party for Game Night was held at Club Deville in Austin, Texas on February 27, 2010. True to his own dynamic style, Neiliyo performed the entire EP by leading the audience in each game that the songs are based on, then closed out the evening with his classic songs. Attendees received a slap bracelet designed by Austin artist Erin Hanson printed with a time sensitive link to download the EP.
