The 2 set performance was recorded as an ensemble-type recording of Jude Roberts (guitar and vocals), Lily McCabe (vioin and vocal harmony), Rebecca DiBennardo (vocals), tracked and mixed by Todd Giudice (Roots Cellar Recording Studio, Newburgh, NY) in the Maximum Impact Media, Inc. studio with a live audience. This method emphasizes the "vibe" of the live performance while also taking advantage of the superior acoustic environment and gear available in a recording studio.
Jude et. al. generously donated their time, efforts, and compositions to support the Borderline Folk Music Club. Some of the songs are the same as Jude's studio album, "Stained Glass Afterglow." also available on CDBaby.com, while others are only in this album. A DVD is also available of the performance.
The Borderline Folk Music Club is Rockland Countyâs only non-profit, all-volunteer venue for Acoustic Folk and Bluegrass Music. The Borderline is a division of the Country Dance & Song Society, and as such we are an officially recognized tax exempt 501(c)(3) entity by the IRS, which makes us eligible for both public & private grants, as well as charitable donations.
The Borderline's mission is to perpetuate these genres of American roots music through the presentation of monthly concerts in Rockland and adjacent areas of Bergen County. The Borderline books established well-known performers in the field, as well as upcoming young singer songwriters whom we feel deserve recognition for their achievements in creating and performing this type of music.
Jude Roberts is an especially talented, conservatory-trained singer/songwriter. He deserves your attention.
