BIO

Francisco Martinez was born December 25, 1978 in Dallas, Texas. Per his parents who were Mexican immigrants, Francisco Martinez AKA "Double X" had all sorts of friends but he always showed strong individuality. Unlike most of his friends, XX's love was not material things but music. In a recent interview, XX said "I've loved music all my life." XX was introduced to music at a young age by his father who taught him classical piano. XX's musical gift was enhanced when he enrolled in Arts Magnet High School in Dallas where he studied Jazz, Music Technology, and the Art Venues. In 1995 XX won several M.C. contests and from that he produced music full time. XX has produced four (4) different albums for various artist, jingles for Pepsi Cola, Starbust, TXU, McDonald's and Coors Light. Creating and producing music for others XX was inspired to create and release his own style of music. In 2002, with the help of Hard Core Records , XX released his first album titled "Uncivilized." Uncivilized features several of XX's musical creations. For example "EL Assesino" is a rap phenomenon that personifies his ability to tongue twist rap in Spanish without skipping a beat. Out of the growing plight of drugs in the community, XX was inspired to create the song "Coka." "Coka is a Cumbia hip hop song that warns about the ill consequences of cocaine," said XX. "This album is ready for any dance or Hip Hop club," said XX. XX has performed in almost every club in Dallas and Forth Worth from Dread N' Irie to Club DMX in 1995 to 2003, Lowrider Magazine and Blvd Magazine car shows in 2000- 2003. XX has also performed with national acts like Lil John & the Eastside Boys, Mystical, and the Aztec Tribe.
