No one can sing a story like Doug Spartz. While most of today's artists were still cutting their teeth, he was out playing in the small beer joints, dance halls, and roadhouses across the country. His voice carries with it a piece of every smoky bar he ever played in. But as this project will attest, it goes down smooth like a glass of aged whiskey. While others would be content to sit back and enjoy their autumn years, Doug chose to go back to playing his music. His life has taken him on a Walter Mittyish journey from a business in Africa to a publishing company in Nashville with more then 30 albums to his name; he has helped create what is undoubtedly his best work to date. This album will take the listener through an emotional ride-from a fatherâs pain to a loverâs loss-every heartfelt step.
