Hollywood in the seventies was a great time. I met many unique personalities. Some influenced the tracks on this
c.d. directly and others provided so much love and support
that whenever I think of these songs, I also think of them.
There will always be a special place in my heart for those
friends and fans who inspired me in "The Early Years".

Just me and a very creative engineer.
A song about drinking way too much Gallo Vin Rose'wine
in a morbid tongue and cheek mode.
The last verse was left out of this track because it was considered to long at the time.
Here is that verse:

Were recorded in my apartment at 5987 Franklin in Hollywood, hence the alternate title (mostly unplugged)
Just me, my guitar and a reel to reel, oh, let's not forget the mike.
Again this song reflects an outlook on the bright side of life.

Written about my first wife who I met while living at that
little apartment.

A composite of young women I met in Hollywood searching for their personal "Shangri La"

Written about a spontaneous, middle of the night trip,
to Big Sur in Northern California on the coast. Just to watch the sunrise with my good friend Bob "Norton" Thompson. We used to do crazy stuff like that all the time.

"Sunshine For Sandy"

Written about a friend of ours who never had a bad word
for anyone. Always friendly, a sweet Lady from Canada.

"Hard Road To Hoe"

A light hearted look at life's dissappoinments.

"Ain't Gonna Take It No More"

A take this job and shove it kind of song
with some sarcastic humor

"Seattle"

Simply a song about home.
In the early seventies on a T.V. program called "Headshop"
hosted by Elliott Mintz this song was performed by a band called "Autumn" and another song called "County Line" was performed by me. "County Line" is on my "Yesterday's Dreams" c.d. Unfortunately, these video tapes along with
Rick Nelson's and Billy Joel's were accidently destroyed.
