I am Derrick the one who wrote the words.I've always had a love for music. The freedom to express myself, always seeking to achieve seamless, unembellished meshing of lyrics and music.They say words can hit as hard as a fist. Words can also be very soothing and reassuring (just for thought).When I wrote "show me how to love again" I was at a stage where I wanted someone in my life romantically, but wasn't sure if I was able to open my heart again and be vunerable to let love in. As for "tears or rage" I looked to express the trials and tribulations that can plague a relationship. "The daily grind" came about when I was at a job I really didn't want to be at and the politics that riddle the workplace.
