Details:
This is a conceptual record that deals with a person coming to terms with who they are during a time of crisis. There are no catchy choruses or standard song structure on this record, instead I tried to be true to a given feeling and let the songs write themselves. I was writing about my life. The songs are free flowing, emotional, imperfect and created in a variety of styles, just what you'd expect if you were writing the soundtrack to your own life. It's "Art" for the sake of art.

The 14 improvisational tracks feature instrumental guitar which spread out beyond typical stylistic boundaries while maintaining subtle roots in a given traditional music genre.

Dave's first record "Disengage" was reviewed by TAXI-the world's leading independent A&R Company they said "You've done a fine job of presenting yourself and your music in a professional, attractive manner. Your guitar sound is gorgeous and your playing is assured. The recording is very well done. I like the way you are working with tones and colors rather than a tightly structured pop melody. Your playing is relaxed and confident pulling the listener into your world instead of going to theirs. The structure is freeform and it reminds me of the late, great Sandy Bull". John Schaefer has spoken of Dave's playing on his radio show New Sounds adding "He's reminiscent of the late John Fahey".

Dave approaches songwriting and performing with a few simple goals; always play great and induce an emotional response through music.

The acoustic performances on the record sound like Michael Hedges, John Fahey, Kevin Breits and Stanley Jordan.
