David Lee Henderson grew up in the small town of Altha, in the Florida panhandle. He played music with several different bands before striking out on his own to pursue his dream. He now lives in Hillsboro, a small town 60 miles southeast of Nashville.
David was playing Johnny Cash songs at age 8 and carries a dream of being one of the greats of country music. A gifted songwriter with a voice that is made for country music, David Henderson's 'Straight Out of The Back Woods' is a treat for the fan wanting to hear real country music. The title cut and "Corn Pone Country" describe the man to a 'T'. He is country--and this CD rocks with the help of some of Nashville's best studio musicians backing him up.
"More Money Than a Bull Can Pull" is a true story of David's great-uncle and his moonshining exploits. "Gadsden County Sign" and "What's a Good Old Boy To Do" are romps of good time, beer drinking fun. With "The Most Powerful Love", David shows his roots in Gospel music.
