John has performed with many famous artists live onstage. From each of them he has gained insight to what makes a strong song. An Artist must cause the listener to "feel" the emotion of the play and bring them into each performance. Music is "Emotion in motion"... The idea for this CD was to create a collection of songs which represent "Real Musical Play" without ANY loops or samples added. I want the listener to hear everything as if they were standing in front of the stage listening to a live band. Small subtle string noises, etc. were purposely left in the mix for authentication. This music is very "straightforward," from my ears to yours. I believe you will enjoy hearing it at near live band volumes. Ripping guitar leads with danceable groove is not frequently heard, yet is enjoyed by everyone I know. This CD is Fresh in our world of samples and fake musical instruments. My favorite saying is: "IF YOU CAN'T PLAY IT LIVE, YOU CAN'T PLAY IT!"
