Raised in Baltimore, damumalik's creative roots go back to humble beginnings in community theatre. After branching out to Philly where he attended the University of the Arts, his growth finally brought him west where he eventually graduated from the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. His stage credits include the critically acclaimed L.A. stage production of âCentral Avenueâ at the Fountain Theatre and the Sacramento Theatre Companyâs production of âBlues for an Alabama Skyâ.

damumalik then turned his focus back to music and while selling T-shirts for Bay Area based Blackalicious, he found himself recording tracks for Blackalicious' "Blazing Arrow" and Karl Densonâs Tiny Universe on âThe Bridgeâ. Later, damumalik would go on to tour with Blackalicious providing background vocals for the group during gigs in Australia, Japan, France, Germany and England. While abroad, damumalik found himself singing live on BBC Radio and performing on German TV. Back in North America his journey with the group included opening for Alicia Keys and touring with Jay-Z and N.E.R.D. Now solo, damumalik's creativity has found its way into millions of homes through the UPN'S hit show "Girlfriends" where his song "Jealousy" was featured in an episode.

damumalik has also licensed and composed music for âThe Living Seriesâ and â5 Guys, 5 Questionsâ as part of the SHONEXT original series PIRATENET and composed music for the MAVERVICKS SPORTS campaign.

FRAGMENT is damumalik's debut album.
