Details:
"We aren't reinventing the wheel, we just have a hockey card in the spokes."

Declare Dirtfella about their honest and straight ahead style. The Victoria BC bandâs rock and roll sound draws from influences such as Neil Young and the Screaming Trees â featuring colorful melodies and vintage-rock raspy vocals, over top of dirty driving rhythm.

James Sutton, music director at Victoriaâs Zone @ 91.3, describes them as âthe musical equivalent of getting caught having sex by your girlfriends dad, and then asking to borrow $14 for beer and smokes! I know you've always wanted to be that cool. Dirtfella sounds that cool!â

Dirtfella were recently promoted on Victoria's Zone @ 91.3 as its February 2006 band of the month. The bandâs songs âMoneyâ, and âGirlfriendâs Exesâ were in regular rotation, and very well received.

âMoneyâ and âGirlfriendâs Exesâ highlight Dirtfellaâs self titled CD â released February 2006. The bandâs debut offering was produced, in Victoria, by Adam Sutherland of 604âs Armchair Cynics.

If you don't have the opportunity to check out Dirtfella's no-apologies, energetic live show, you can always pick up a copy of their CD here. If you do attend a show, however, plan to call in sick the following day.
