POP: New Wave, ROCK: 80's Rock

Details:
The Divys formed in April 2005 when guitarist Cliff Hritz met singer William Schrul through a local Philadelphia newspaper. They both placed ads, and both responded to each other's ad. Maybe it was fate, or maybe just a full moon, but they clicked instantly and the result is a perfect blend of pop-rock with an 80's edge.

The Divys are the Lenny Kravitz of New Wave.
Call them retro, âliving-in-the-pastâ or whatever. They write super melodic, catchy pop rock tunes like you haven't heard since the 80s. It was the one era of music that fails to get respect. But we all know most people lock their bedroom doors and listen to Cindy Lauper, DEVO and Billy Idol with delight.
âWe are bringing back good pop rock!â
You can catch The Divysâ song, âMirror Queenâ, played as the theme-song to local Philadelphia talk show, âIn Bed With Butchâ, aired most nights at 10:30pm on Channel 54, Drexel TV. Go to:www.InBedWithButch.com for dates and times.

Dubbed The Divys, which comes from the late, great Divine's nickname. Divine became infamous in filmmaker's John Water's early films such as Pink Flamingos and Hairspray. The Divys are a self-contained duo, writing, recording and producing their first album in their downtown studio. High up on the twenty-first floor, late into the night, they can be found shaping and molding what they hope will be the next hit song.
