Vocalist/songwriter Deborah Hightowerâs music âministryâ started at the young age of three when she performed "Jesus Loves Me' at a small church in South Carolina. Her life has been filled with concert choir, ensemble and solo performances. It has only been recently that God placed on her heart to move into a deeper realm with her music ministry. With that move of faith, she recorded her debut album, Worship Him Alone.

From an intimate Episcopal chapel setting where she ministers with piano and song to a filled concert hall complete with full urban choir and band to the in-studio taping on the set of Christian Television Network, Deborahâs music moves the soul of those listening. âMusic has a way of touching places of the heart the spoken word often misses. It is the bridge that connects people â regardless of culture, language, race, creed or denominationâ, says Deborah. âIt is my heartâs desire to minister to Godâs beautiful tapestry of people through music uniting us in love, peace and understanding.â

Worship Him Alone is, according to Deborah, âabout offering the listener music that inspires, encourages and renews their spirit.â The title of the album has significant meaning â first, the Bible tells us we are to worship Him solely â we are to put âno other gods before Himâ (Exodus 20:3) Secondly, we are instructed to âworship Him without ceasingâ(1 Thess. 5:17) â not only during organized services, but when we are alone. Worship Him Alone is a compilation of contemporary music designed for personal worship, meditation and devotion time.

The style of the CD is varied, with many influences. The prelude to the album, 'Be Magnified', sets the tone for being âoneâ with God through a beautiful string arrangement. Clint Brownâs 'I Worship You' has an R&B-groove. The arrangement of Breathe displays a powerful song from the heart.

The single, 'Believe', speaks to those who are seeking the next level for life. In February, 2006, 'Believe' was featured on Christian Television Network in Nashville. It was also recently chosen in the top 20 of an international song contest, receiving high marks of achievement â a 10 out of a possible 10 points on âmessageâ.

Deborah wrote the CD postlude, 'I Worship You Alone'. The song summarizes the purpose of the project with these words, âI worship You, with all that is within me. Youâre my strength and only song, and I worship You alone."

In addition to the album release, Deborah founded Worship Him Ministries, Inc. a ministry designed to celebrate our wondrous and omnipotent God. It is purposed to bring together Godâs richly diverse people for His glory through music and other artistic expression.
