Details:
Detect started writing rhymes and beats in '92. He got into the local scene when he started a hip-hop radio show at 3MU Monash Union Radio in '95 and the first weekly hip-hop night in Melbourne: "The Cypher". Since then Tek has gone on to do shows in Australia and the United States performing alongside acts such as Living Legends, Naughty by Nature, Breez Evahflowin' and Public Enemy. His debut album "Deep Investigation" is a mix of conspiracy theories, sci-fi and politics over a variety of self-produced beats. His next release - the EP "Dropzone" takes a more intropsective and philosophical look at life and freedom. Recently he, along with Digga and Weapon X collaborated on the Korean hip-hop compilation MP 2002 which has sold in excess of 60,000 units throughout Asia. Detect has also featured on J-Wess' "Tha LP" on the posse cut "Roll Call" .
