Iâm DeFakto, a Virginia-bred emcee and beatmaker. Music has always been in me, but its not until recently that I started getting serious about making music. Like most hiphoppers, I played with freestyling and songwriting throughout a good part of my childhood, but it was just for kicks - something I did for fun. Having no one to show me the ropes or take me under their wing, I was forced to learn on my own from trial and error, thus making me a late bloomer. But I have spent time developing my craft and I have allowed myself to come into my own as an artist. I donât like to be categorized, for I write about whatever I want to write about whenever I want to write about it. Being myself is the only rule I follow. And for that reason, I hope you will follow me and my music.
