A native of New Jersey, Denny has been performing for his devoted fans for over two decades. His heartwarming and thought provoking songs touch the heart and speak to fans of all ages.
Denny has performed at legendary New York venues the Bitter End, Fast Folk Cafe, Kenny's Castaways and The Bluebird Cafe in Nashville.
Denny released his first CD "Real Life Stories" in 1997. Featuring an all-star cast of musicians from the northwest New Jersey music scene, the CD earned him the 1998 Best Songwriter Award from the Northwest New Jersey Music Awards Association.
In March of 2000, Denny released his second CD entitled "Generations". The CD was co-produced by Dan Myers, formerly a member of From Good Homes. "Generations" has a warm inviting feel and encompasses an array of musical styles including ragtime, folk, country and pop. It was picked by Performing Songwriter magazine as one of their Top 12 DIY (do-it-yourself) independent releases in it's September/October issue. Check out the review. Also in 2000, Denny was chosen to perform in the new artist showcase at the Falcon Ridge Folk Festival.
In October 2003, Denny released his third CD âShoulda Seen The Dreamâ to enthusiastic reviews, signing a distribution deal with BOS Music, gaining him national attention. âShoulda Seen The Dreamâ was featured in Relix Magazineâs âOn The Vergeâ section (Dec. 2003/Jan. 2004), and was also selected for a review in Singer Magazine (March/April 2004). GlideMagazine.comâs October, 2003 review says about âShoulda Seen The Dreamâ, âStraightforward and confessional, Tiltonâs third release contains songs that tell of love and a continual search for whatever is around the next of lifeâs bends. The tracks rely heavily on the Tiltonâs voice to carry themâa voice that is a stew of Cat Stevens and Bob Dylan, with a flavor all its ownâand the lyrics contain different pellets of wisdom only found in the gathering of years.â
