Punk/Rock/Pop. Soothing Harmonies, catchy hooks. Music that everyone likes..
12 MP3 Songs
ROCK: Punk, POP: Power Pop
Details:
If you like getting jump-kicked in the face with a seventy-six mile per hour Jean Claude Van Damme-style spinning roundhouse, then youâll probably like Dead Celebrity; if you donât like that type of thing, however, then youâll probably love them. Together since 1996, the members of Dead Celebrity have played more than 200 shows (at such landmark Toronto venues as The Horseshoe Tavern; The Opera House; Leeâs Palace; and The El Mocambo), have undergone a name change (the band was formerly known as Fork), and have released 3 full-length independent albums. The bandâs forthcoming disc, titled âThe Bloody Romantics,â features twelve emotionally-charged tracks recorded under the careful hand of producer Justin Koop (Finger Eleven; Billy Talent; Silverstein). Each song on the new release takes the form of a carefully crafted rock/punk opus, culminating in a sound that reflects the masterful fusion of complex vocal harmonies, driving guitar riffs, and aggressive punk rhythms. Scheduled for release in January of 2006, Dead Celebrityâs latest album forms the kernel of an overarching project aimed at showcasing the variability of their sound, as well as elevating the bandâs artistic vision to new heights
