Details:
Devin fell for the guitar at the early age of nine and was offered a position as a bass player at thirteen. Still keeping in check with the guitar, he continued to play bass and sing in a variety of Midwest bands over the next eight years. Devin landed in New York City during the peak of the glam metal era, at which time he resumed his guitar duties in a band by the name of CC Star. This was an aggressive transition recalls Devin. "I joined that band as a bass player and by accident, someone heard me fooling around with the guitar player's rig. Before I knew it, he was out and I was the new lead player". After a debut at CBGB, the New York club circuit became the ritual. There had been several attempts at getting a good record deal and much luck avoiding bad ones. This led to a decision to place all of the liabilities of success or failure into one basket. Devin states, "I wanted to take a stab at writing and producing everything from the ground up. This would allow me to explore deeper into one musical emotion, rather than having five artistic interpretations of it". He eventually left New York to spend some time on the L.A. scene before moving to Tampa Bay, Florida. This is where he has continued to work with many of the locals while cultivating his writing and producing skills...
