Breakout artists Deejha Marie is going to take you for a journey into World Music. Reggae Music, a music of reality. Deejha Marie San Diego own original Dive, was born in Altoona Pa. At the age of two Deejha Marie left Altoona and moved with her Mother and Stepfather who was in the Air Force. Like many military families they moved around every two years. At a young age Deejha Marie was already singing songs made by James Brown, Marvin Gaye,Louis Armstrong, Billie Holiday and the list goes on. Music and singing has always been there for me. It heals my soul. After my Parents split up I moved with my mother (who is very dear to me and I love her) to NJ. at the age of thirteen. And later moved to LA. I went to college for a while and study voice and piano. Deejha Marie's singing took a public turn, when her dynamic Acappella Vocal Group "PIECES" WON on the Gong Show. "PIECES has been my salvation", we traveled to Japan, France and though out Cal. PIECES has performed dozen of wedding and met and perfomed for great people like the Temptation, the Whispers and still going strong, It doesn't stop there, Deejha Marie continued to advance her skills by playing the piano and joining The Great Sue Palmer Motel Swing Orchestra singing Blues and Jazz. Sue Palmer has been a positive mentor in my life; I have learned so much from her. On one of my trips to France I met a very talented Brother from Ghana living in Paris. MC Natty Joe Amanfo (Original Dub Poet) Soon after meeting we planned to record our own CD "Travel and See". Now here it is. There is a magic in this music, the beat grooves you and the lyrices are real. This Music will go from San Diego CA. to Paris France from Africa to Alaska.
