The 3-Eyed Jacks Music
3-Eyed Jacks - Barry Meehan, Marc Scafidi and King Greenspon - blend hard edge progressive blues/rock with a lush heritage of musical roots to create a sound thatâs Raw⦠Powerful⦠Intense.
Clever songwriting, combined with real talent, produces something undeniable. A long-time fan said, itâs âlike riding a Harley.â The music is not the trite snippets weâre so often exposed to these days. These guys can play. And play they do, with everything they have. There arenât any out of place overdubs or repeating loops, this is the real thing: Talent. âTheyâre not limited by genre,â one fan described it graphically. âThey pull so much out of nowhere. Itâs about the soul - pulling it up from your toes âtil your hair stands on end.â
The 3-Eyed Jacks Experience
3-Eyed Jacks have concentrated their efforts and considerable talent on live performances in clubs in and around the Philadelphia region, reaching points west and south, as well as up to New York City. Honing their stage chops, each gig expands their growing fans. âI love this band! When are they playing again?â a new fan asked after a recent show.
The show is a treat. Not only do they keep you moving with their hard driving rhythm and out of this world guitar, they will surprise you with a cover tune you hadnât thought about in years. Whatever theyâre playing, they give of their soul. âThe first half of their set felt like music to a David Lynch film - very gritty and deep. It hit home,â said Casey Parker, booking agent for Fergieâs Pub in Philadelphia. âThe second half, they get the audience to hoot and holler. Although theyâre only three, they fill the room and really light it up.â
The latest CD, simply titled â3-Eyed Jacksâ shows off the range and hard driving talent of this threesome. It will rock you and roll you and keep your foot tapping. When a band performs so well, so powerfully on stage, itâs not easy to capture in a recording. 3-Eyed Jacks have not disappointed. The raw, intense power is there, front and center. One of their fans said of the recording, â... there are outstanding renditions of songs that move me. Every cut is a fine representation of your musicality.â It keeps you going until the very last note.
Produced by 3-Eyed Jacks, the three insisted on the best recording possible. They wanted the tracks to be exciting even after multiple listenings. For the finishing touches, they enlisted Jeff Chestek (Ursula Rucker, Kenny G., David Sylvian) to do the final mixes. The result is a polished recording with the energy and drive their fans have come to love. An excited fan put it this way, â3-Eyed Jacks are monstrously talented and rockin. . . guaranteed to blister the paint off the wall and send chills down your spine! Great songs. Great band. Go get the CD!!!!!â
