Lollipop Goth was formed in Queensland, Australia, in early 2004 by Ank and Invisigoth... Originally a duo creating punk-goth performance art, the two amicably parted musical ways late in 2004 when it was apparent that Ank wished to concentrate more heavily in the music & performance and Invisigoth preferred to spend more time on writing poetry & books - yes, he's been published... The two remain good friends and Invisgoth is a valued critic... :)

Now a solo anime act, Lollipop Goth released a demo in early November 2004 titled - In Transit... The cd contained 11 tracks, hurriedly recorded across 2 states during a turbulent time in Ank's life... The cd was raw & her inexperience in dealing with some of the recording equipment was very apparent... However, sufficient encouraging response was received, so that Ank decided to continue with the project... The demo heavily utilized royalty-free public-domain samples to provide the musical background to Ank's lyrics (mostly due to time & physical restraints), and with her next effort, Ank decided to act on feedback & incorporate more of her own playing, and experiment more with her vocal style. The result was Worlds Away From Yesterday, another cd containing 11 tracks, but in many ways substantially different from In Transit The 3rd (Petals) and 8th (Time) songs generated much interest and the small run of cds was quickly almost sold out... Both these tracks were different - containing few samples and heavily featuring Ank's playing (both bass and guitar)... Time originally contained a guitar track consisting of evolving arpeggiated chords played on Ank's beloved Rickenbacker... Gremlins invaded this song & both the guitar and vocal tracks were inadvertently deleted... The vocals were re-recorded, but the guitar didn't make it back...

This cd sold out quickly, and August, 2005 saw the release of Lollipop Goth's second release, an 11-track cd titled 'Electrified'... Interest and sales in this cd have been high, and it is now available through www.cdbaby.com!
