High quality digital recordings of military jets performing takeoffs and flybys.
11 MP3 Songs
NEW AGE: Ambient, ROCK: Instrumental Rock
Details:
VNY = Van Nuys CA general aviation airport. VNY used to have great air shows with lots of military jets. The Friday before the show, and Sunday afternoon and Monday morning after the show were the best times to see and hear many of the military jets. Jets would be arriving all day on Friday, with many of them doing flybys before landing. Sunday afternoon and Monday saw the jets taking off, with many doing high speed flybys after takeoff. People would show up by the hundreds at every available square inch around the airport trying to get a good spot to see and hear the jets do their thing. The pilots loved it too since many of them would rock their wings while going by. Van Nuys no longer has the cast of jets they used to. When I made these recordings I simply assumed there would always be military jets at the Van Nuys air show, but that is no longer the case. These recordings capture the exciting raw power of jet engines ripping the air apart as they scream past at several hundred miles per hour. Listen to what your tax dollars pay for! Enjoy.
