Dr Laura Mann is a concert opera artist living on the cutting edge of creativity, known for recording and performing world premiers of new solo vocal music. She has sung over 40 opera/operetta roles in the United States and Europe.
Of a recent recital appearance, Washington Review Magazine wrote: "Her clear, shimmering soprano ascending to the heights of the cathedral ceiling, and fluttering down over the audience...provided a musical performance of sophisticated tranquility." Laura has appeared at international festivals at many prestigious here and in Europe.
A resident of the Washington D.C. area, Laura has been soloist at the Kennedy Center Concert Hall, Washington National Cathedral, and is frequently featured on many area recital singing repertoire in eight languages. Dr. Mann has a vocal studio at George Mason University and also teaches privately.
Inspired by her multifaceted knowledge of the human voice and spirit, her students have built careers in a variety of musical genres--ranging from classical to country.
