Chapter Two âLooking for Henriettaâ (To read chapter one please read notes for the album, âThe Lyle and Sparkleface Bandâ)

After recording the album âThe Lyle And Sparkleface Bandâ the band quickly hit the road on a transcontinental tour of strip mall and discount outlets. Attempting to spread the great word of the Zenith, the soon found themselves in a holding-tank in Austin, TX. It seems Lyle had , in a âmoment of clarityâ as he describes it , tried to destroy every television that Circuit City carries, by smashing the outer lens of the tube with a baseball bat. He would have pulled it off too if it werenât for that woman from Deluth with the large calves.

A few years and a few thousand hours of community service later, they were out on good behavior and ready to launch into the second of the âSparkleface Albumsâ. Every thing was in place except for one thing. The antique Zenith had spoken of recording the second Spakleface album with, as the great T.V. said, â a giant with large ears and a great many hands, and only one eye. This Goliath would appear from a familiar place, only to then, upon completion of the album, vanish to the other end of time.â Now both Lyle and Joe had know a cyclops named Stephen when they were living in flagstaff, AZ. A photographer who also plays one heck of a bass, and who always seemed to be building some sort of strange noise machine.
Fortunately for Lyle and Joe, Stephen agreed to hoin the Spakleface Troupe, and in the spring of 1998 all the pieced were in place to record, âLooking for Henrietta.â

One year and change later, the album was complete. Stephen Had joined a country band on a year-long tour of Japan, and Lyle and Joe found themselves in the position to fully realize the great Zenithâs last major prophesy . All they have said about it, is that it involves a large bucket of homilade, ten-thousand ball bearings, and must be big enough to span a time zone.
