Fresh & Zingy

July sees the release of The Zing EP - written, performed and produced by exciting new Irish talent, "Lieselle". She was discovered by Chris O'Brien and Graham Murphy (Gemma Hayes, The Blue Nile, The Human League), who knew after moments of listening to her demo that they had to harness this fresh new sound.

The Zing EP grabs hold of you from the get-go. A dirty punk riff paves the way for Lieselle's gorgeous big bluesy tones and as it shifts between all genres at breakneck speed you're swept along and can't help but rock out along with it.

And this is just the tip! Catch her live if you can - an avant garde performance that's as unpredictable as her music!

â..some robust songs which she delivers with an in-your-face fieriness rarely found among irish female singers.
The uptempo "Just cos you say so" is driven by a sassy, punky riff and Joan Jett-style energy. "All There Is" is subtler, mixing more contemporary noises (a la Garbage) into a catchy song that delivers in spades.
"Hardcore Obsessive" is part Kate Bush in orgasmic mode, part contemporary indie-rock, plus elements of Goldfrapp, some cute Middle East overtones and her voice exploring a myriad styles, all in a mere four minutes. Not bad...!â Jackie Hayden, First Cuts
