One day, in a land far, far awayâ¦.. Lindsay Jane was born in Vancouver B.C., Canada. Being raised in a Christian household where listening to popular music was forbidden, didnât stop Lindsay Jane from listening to it. At the tender age of 10, Lindsay stumbled upon her first beer soaked radio on a playground , smuggled it into her home, and turned it on. Berlinsâ âTake My breath Awayâ literally did that to Lindsay, and her life was never the same again.

In 1999, Lindsay went out with her acoustic guitar and entered The CKUA Alberta songwriting contest and took first place. In June 2002, Lindsay Jane released her debut album âStarting Todayâ. That summer, Lindsay embarked on her first tour. By February of 2003, Lindsay was living in Winnipeg as a member of 3 time Juno Nominated band The Wyrd Sisters.. After a year with the band, Lindsay decided to move back to her solo roots, with performances at the CKCU Ottawa Folk Festival, Stan Rogers Folk Festival, Alberta Scene in Ottawa and a hugely successful official showcase at SXSW in Austin TX 2006.
