Growing up in the middle of the rich musical heritage of Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, on Canada's east coast, Lindsay learned early on in his life, the power of the voice accompanied by an acoustic guitar. As a mature artist he mixes those folky roots with a healthy dose of urban and country rock, adds a topping of west coast soul and delivers songs of yearning and learning unique in the male singer/songwriter category. His smooth voice is the driving and unifying force behind these guitar based pop songs that easily cross genres. The well travelled songs on this compilation come from the soundtrack of life and it's hopes. The cd takes one on a circular journey out of the past and into the future with urgency. Three songs are included that were recorded by Bob Benson at Mix This Studios in Victoria, Canada. The other six were recorded by Chris Aiken at Sound Design Studios in Warsaw, Poland, during a series of visits over a five year period. The instrumentation and production varies with the songs and the studios, but Lindsay's voice remains honest and endearing.
