Purchased product with PLR and MLR and now ready to rewrite...?
October 08, 2009 10:13PM
Good evening, all...

I'm very very new here so please bear with me. My question has to do with utilizing PLR and MRR and making sure it's all nice and legal.

I just purchased a file that was advertised as including PLR and MRR. I take this to mean that "hey, buy this ebook and you get the private label and master resell rights to it". Am I correct in this assumption?

So that said or answered, upon reading the material I just bought, there's plenty of good information to be used but it really is in desperate need of a work-over by the grammar police. smiling smiley Because I purchased the file with PLR included, I'm legally allowed to make these changes, no?

Finally, do I have any other legal documentation that states that I am now in ownership of the PLR and MRR of the content I just purchased?

I'm a degreed artist so I know how horrible of a thing plagiarism can be, but I would definitely like to repurpose some of this content before I move forward with it as a customer offering. Like I said, just want to be nice and legal.

So, any comments/questions/accusations are greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

Hi,

I'm new here also...but not as new to Internet Marketing (and maturing daily)!

By now I suppose this question has been answered, but for all those who might
still be looking (and I might as well add to the search results returned by
search engines on this topic) here's what I've gleaned from my rummaging over
time: PLR (Private Label Rights) in general, allows the purchaser of such
content to modify and brand it as their own work.

It does not automatically make you the owner (i.e. grant copyrights) of the
content nor give distribution rights.
The best type of PLR to purchase grants
unrestricted rights.

Some PLR content, for example, can have restrictions on how it is published,
or must sell at a minimum price.

The author of the base note is taking the proper approach. Any PLR content
should be of the highest quality.

MRR (Master Resale Rights) are rights to sell the resale rights to content.
Thus, not only do you sell the content but you give others the right to
sell the rights to resell the content. If the product has normal resale
rights it can only be sold after the initial purchase to another buyer for
personal use only.

May all your rewrites be happy ones.
