Higher listings in a category

I try to get as much traffic to my products as I can through facebook, bookmarking sites, etc. Ive gotten most of my products about 5000 hits each a month and some move to the 1st page of their category and some dont move at all, why?

hi... @freedownloading - maybe he is using a jump page and counts the impressions on the jump impacts... but back to the question: The order of the listing pages was explained before, but I will try to summarize it once again:

The order:

1st - all products with sales in the past 12 months, a preview picture, a thumbnail and a preview file. Merchants who try to put the same stuff into picture and thumbnail or put meaningless stupid pictures into the the picture fields might be put to the end of the list. A human is looking at that once in a while. Newer files rank higher in the beginning, but the more sales a file makes, the higher in rises. Traffic is not a factor: crap does not taste good, just because a lot of flies sit on it... Quality factors rule!

2nd - all products with sales but a lack of additional marketing info. Short texts, missing pictures, etc.

3rd - the rest in descending order or these quality factors.

Additionally, we tweak the list to test conversions and add or subtract tags, if those make sense or do not.

Hope that clears some questions. Remember: we are Germans - so quality comes first, then marketing ;-)
