Folks: just a short notice that we have updated our FTP upload servers to a new external cluster. When we did that the last time, something went wrong and everybody had problems connecting!

I personally tested the new setup with around 5 different users, new and old.

We think this time everything should work. If not, you may just connect to the old servers - but let me know if you faced problems!

The old ftp servers will go offline by tomorrow, if I do not see any postings here or get no email stating otherwise...

IF you have problems with FTP - connect to the old server on wb.tradebit.com - mail me to puzzler(at)tradebit.com or post here if you needed to do so. The old server goes offline tomorrow!

hi tabby, sorry for the delay!

I strongly recommend to change the layout of your subdomain to show some individuality and create some trust with your buyers...

If you are in the EASY ADMIN mode (the grey writing on the top right is clickable in the member section), you find a section LAYOUT to tinker around with!

Iam not arguing anything, its just that the sale pages for many products already have a discription of the product and i see that about 90% of the people selling the same item are using these sale page descriptions with there products. Myself id prefer to just place a few lines of text and let it be. I wasnt really aware of the fact about the description problem in the first place but, i now see what you mean by it Puzzler.

dave, as I mailed you before: doing a copy+paste is a very bad idea for your sales because we live in big parts from the search engines. neither google nor bing like duplicate texts:

specifically

Don't create multiple pages, subdomains, or domains with substantially duplicate content.

so, google avoids the phrase penalty, but they also make clear that ranking will not happen with the identical text on various pages... so a copy+paste approach on tradebit is not wanted by myself, the merchant who provided the original copy in the beginning and not from google, who will just not list it good and noone will find or buy it.

I agree,

Most of the products on Tradebit are PLR products with the same sales page discriptions.
I dont see where this is a issue unless people are copying someones personal information from a page and relisting it as there own.

People, there are millions of products on Tradebit and not everyone has time to make up there own descriptions for the same products.

Its just my oppinion, but i think this is nonsense !

hi,

please log in and go to this page:

to see that there is a CHARGEBACK of 10$ - makes -7.50 of the payout today:

19.66$ - 7.50 = 12,16

and the difference is put on your next payout.

CHARGEBACKS are directly deducted from the weekly payout and the revenue put on the next.

See your open payout at the bottom?

Open pay out: 7.5 USD

coming up next wednesday!

It is all visible on that statistics page... we make pretty sure that there are no calculation errors!

hi... first: I have deleted the user, who copied your description 1 to 1... that is not tolerated at all around here!

second: yes, if your descriptions are unique for google, the chances of ranking increase. Also the careful usage of keywords (phrases, which users type into google to search for) that are describing the product help a lot....

What I do not understand: "stealing" the description leads to a "duplicate content penalty" with google and people will rank much lower with their articles than the original source and will not sell a dime on tradebit... this is just wasting a lot of time for copy+paste that has no real outcome!

hi, just found a few new affiliates linking to tradebit and producing real nice traffic - thanks to you on behalf of tradebit and all our merchants - we know about the value of qualified traffic!

i also saw that some affiliates are confused with the many link options we offer!

just to make some things clear and avoid you linking for nothing around:

my program is not stolen from another seller or something..., program is clean without illegal stuff (virus,keylogs,spyware), compiled with very simple scripting language AutoIt v3 ( [www.autoitscript.com] ) , and program is not protected with copyright license, check it! I strongly recommend that you take a look at the Google keyword suggestion tool to get some keywords which people actually LOOK FOR in the first place:

Hi, we cross reference these specific keywords with other products and try to provide the most relevant downloads related to that term. We also filter down by category and this will happen more and more in the future:

Keyword "explosion" in category "weapons": [www.tradebit.com]

or

Keyword "auction traffic explosion", which is related to "explosion":

[www.tradebit.com]

I think that should give you an idea of the sorting mechanisms behind the keywords?

I'm pretty new at al of this,so please forgive me if I sound like I don't know what I'm doing. I need to know how to use keywords to list my item(s) for sale. The sales/upload page asks for three keywords separated by commas. :( I'm a bit confused as to how I would do that. Can someone please give me an example? I've tried before, but failed miserably.[/b]

johnny, i dont think it is a copyright problem for the text itself, but what these copycats do not understand:

the same text on the page will google make it summarize the search result for duplication and none of the sellers will sell anything, because they never get traffic...

I'm not seller here, but I don't understand what you guys talk about, for example a same MRR product can appears here 100 times with different prices from $0.50 to $9.99 (same product :) and upload from different sellers, but the description are copy from the original sales page of the products, so they all the same, so is that a problem?

How can you call this as "STEAL my Description" , you only can say that if the full description is written by you originally right?
