I keep getting an error about SQL injection when trying to add a new file. Here is the error:
"We appreciate your interest in trying out SQL injections, but could you just do that somewhere else, please?
If you see this page on error, please let us know: puzzler(at)tradebit(dot)com"

I suspect it is something to do with the file description but have no clue what it could be. The description is nothing out of the ordinary.

Any ideas on what I could do to stop getting this error?

I just bought imagehost and it just seems that the seller added some own scripts.

This is no clone its an 1to1 script of the original photostore script with an extra log.php file referring to adult sites.

Can't emagine that this is sold!!!!!!

I hopefully get a refund of it!!

Preview Link Was Removed From Search Results (8 replies)

Hi Ralf,

When the site upgrade was done in late July, the link to PDF "preview" files in the search results was removed altho' there is still a link for people to "Play" audio files next to audio products in the search results.

I always upload a sample of my ebooks so people can see the Table of Contents and the first few pages of the book so they will know what it is about before they buy.

The "Preview" link, which used to show up next to my product in the search results, gave browsers the opportunity to take a look at the sample directly from the search results without going to the product listing page and served to set the products with a sample apart from the other listings.

Please add the "Preview" Link/button back to the search results for PDF samples!

Hello everybody,

When a buyer buys 2 of the same products we always immediately refund them one of the sales. However, I see that Tradebit is also refunding it, making the product FREE...
What is the exact protocol for this? Do you refund duplicate sale automatically? Or only when a buyer ask this?

I often get inquiries by customers who tell me the product ID but not the product name. it would be cool if when looking at my own products i could click on ID the same way i click on date to sort the products in numerical order.

Two Feature Requests. (2 replies)

1. I would like that when buyers or potential buyers ask a question about a product if the product information is automatically attached to the email. I get questions from potential buyers with generic question that could apply to many products. I have to ask them what product they were inquiring about. If the question email included the product link, I could respond, and the buyer would be more likely to click the link in the email reply to buy the product, vs them having to find it again.

Similarly for questions after the product is bought if the item number was given as a link it would be easier to correct issues. Although after its been purchased I can look it up by their email address. So this request is more for potential buyers. The ask seller a question needs to automatically include the link of the item being asked about.

2. I would the ability to remove the star rating on all of my products. I have some files that have been given very poor ratings when I know in fact the files I am selling are perfect. I believe that these ratings are simply because my item showed up as one of the 20 top files being sold. Competitors are tearing down what they see.

Next reason is that I see other files that are just listed in the Ebooks section. They are on Page 1. But they already have a 5 star rating. Clearly the seller that listed the item just clicked the rating as 5 immediately after they listed it. There is no restriction for a user to be logged in or anything else for these ratings to be made.

Basically I think the rating system is compromised and does not really reflect what buyers are experiencing. I know when a buyer has a problem with a file, they don't mark it with a Star, they ask for their money back. Which in 99% Tradebit will refund.

I personally think the entire rating system should be removed for everyone. I don't know how many sites have rating systems that are never filled out. Rating systems work well when they have a verified review that writes something. Amazon does a great job. But for most sites a rating system like this is overkill.

1. I know sellers are rating their own products immediately
2. I have very strong evidence that competitors are using the rating system against me.
3. You don't need an account to rate.

So if the entire rating system is not removed....then I simply ask that I have the ability to remove it from my products. Much like I can select if I want the Archive inspector to work, or the PDF preview to work. Whichever is easier to program, I request:
1. That I can remove the rating system by making a selection in each product Edit page.
2. Or that I can select Globally that all my listing not include the rating system.

It can be seen over and over that new freshly listed items are getting 5 star ratings, and I would bet if I could look, that the files in ebook categories have 5 star ratings without ever having a single record of being sold. They are on page 1 and 2 after all.

Hi Ralf,

I am unable to login to the main TradeBit site to access my account, altho I am able to login to the forum here (altho it still says Anonymous User when I post).

I need to answer an email someone sent and list a couple of new products for sale, but when I enter my user name and password I get the message "You are not logged in? Click on the logo to go back to the start page."

Across the top of the screen it says "Logged in: guest" and "log out" and "Your Subdomain" etc. as if I'm logged in, but I cannot access my account.

I've tried logging in using both FireFox and IE7, but no luck!

Hi Ralf,

I like the new layout but have noticed a few things, just in case you haven't!

On the edit file page I know seem to get two boxes for entering the file name and description and also two seperate sets of 4 tag boxes. Looks like it is repeated for some reason. Also on the affiliate pages if you click sales it now says Money and 07 2009 where it used to say Month.

Listing Shows In Marketplace But Link Doesn't Work (4 replies)

Hi,

One of my product listings (item 8632072) is acting funny.

It shows up in my subdomain, it shows up in the marketplace listing when you search for "beginners golf", it shows up at the bottom of other similar product listings, however, when you click the link to view the product page, you're redirected to the [www.tradebit.com] page, not the product listing page.

This started happening last night when I made some changes to the listing. I tried to change the category from "ebook" to "educational" but couldn't get it to change.

I also changed the Platform to "Misc" and put "zip, PDF" in the version field so people would know what kind of file format the product is in and that's when the URL for the product page quit working.

Please Help!

Keywords Get Messed Up In Easy Admin... (8 replies)

Hi Ralf,

I am using Easy Admin as I find it simple and easy. I came across another bug in Easy Admin and thought I'll bring it to your notice.

In Easy Admin, when I EDIT a product page it messes the keywords. The keywords gets stored in alphabetical order and not in the order that we specify. I think the order is quite important as Tradebit uses the 1st keyword to list the product in other pages and vice versa.

So please look into it...

Somebody please help me! All of a sudden, when I view my files their file names and descriptions have disappeared and beneath the file in red it tells me that no file name exists for that language ES. I didn't change any language settings, I wouldn't know how to. Also, when I try and view my sub domain it tells me that i don't exist! Even the name for subdomain is not english and all of my product titles and descriptions have disappeared. I can't work out what's happenned. It looks like an admin setting because I can still access the products when I google them.

Any help appreciated.
