I am promotinv affiliate sales with another account, but how can I see that I sold something? I made a sale but can not trace it anywhere, not on my email and not on my tradebit account. So how can i keep track on my affiliate sales?

Hi Puzzler, I made a website for selling affiliate products from Tradebit. I was noticing there were two options to drive affiliate sales to Tradebit. The first is by placing specific products and the second is a general link to tradebit. The general link will give you a % of every sale made with that link. But how does this works for the affiliate product links? Do you only get a % of the products placed on your website or do you get a % for every sale you made threw that productlink?

I hope this is a bit clear ;).

Can anyone tell me why none of my csv records imported? Dashes in the filename shouldn't effect anything (and all my 1986 files and images names have dashes in them)

Things are going great with my bulk importing except for this huge problem which is preventing me from continuing...

Using the CSV bulk upload tool.. I submit then the site says:

Starting Import ... working on 2 lines: t-1382.jpg moved and added!

Error with /wwwroot/tradebit/tradebit.com/usr/greatdownloads/f-in/t-1382.jpg - please check that!

It moves my file form the upload directory ..then thinks it does not exist..and my product does not shoe a pic.

I am assuming this is a site big. Can you please look into this soon?

Hello, I need an easy way to import my 1500 paylodz files into tradbeit. So far its been a hassle and I am about to bail out.. Unless someone can tell me of a script or way to easily import my products without dealin with cut an paste from excel..reformatting etc etc etc..

Hi, I'm trying to locate the page that ask "Do you already have a file downloaded" then has the drop down menu to show a previously downloaded file. I downloaded a file overnight using the FTP client but didn't put with the product I was wondering would it be stored somewhere on the sight ? Thanks.

hello i just start tradebit there are two options to upload file one is direct upload 1 product after that we can add product picture right, but i want to upload files throgh ftp bulk files i also know how to upload files through ftp but i do not know how to add product picture for each product after uploading with ftp there is a product discription and price , category tab plase tell me how to add product pictures after using ftp i am very confused.

In order to keep track, what you (the merchants here) are using to browse your files on tradebit, I would be interested to hear, what browsers do you use?

Yesterday I looked at the member are with safari... it REALLY looks different, but you can still use all features. We recommend firefox all the time, yet the new IE will come soon and will for sure take back market share!

What are you using in the member area, any feedback is welcome!

After christmas I plan to upgrade my home workstation with more power on the graphics side and add faster hard drives. I know, that I will get a digital video camera under the tree :-) and wonder if you recommend any software to edit movies?

Maybe I can sell my own travel guides on my own platform :-)

Yesterday I got a new contract to design an unique logo for a new internet company from Germany. They want it simple and unique.

To get some info into this forum, I thought I share my experience with you:

For vector based graphics, Adobe Illustrator is a nice piece of software. It has tools for all kind of shapes like circles, boxes, triangles, etc. It is not for creating web graphics, rather for creating print material.

But if you want to create a logo, it has some advantages: In pixel-drawing you tend to bloat a graphic and dither the whole thing. Not with vector based graphic programs.

Logos need to be simple and clear. With Illustrator you got the perfect design tool!

The database is the heart of a dynamic website. The most successful database for smaller ventures is the free MySQL database. Once setup it is easy to manage with the shell tools.

But not everybody has a shell tool or WANTS to poke around on the keys!

If you look for a new hosting company, make sure they provide phpmyadmin. Top tool, top functionality and a good way to learn some SQL basics!

A funny thing happened to me on my way to the upload directory. . .

I can no longer see any of the images I upload directly after I upload them inside the "Browse My Upload Dir", and as such, can no longer create thumbnails for the product description.

VNC is the short cut for "virtual network computing" and the name of an open source application, that is avaiable for Windows, Linux and Mac OS X.

Hi folks,

while travelling on the weekend I work on my iBook with OS X. Do you know any good and simple paint program (mostly for some web graphics) to use with OS X? I want to be able to place some text or draw a box, save it as GIF or JPEG and use it on a webpage. IMHO is Photoshop a bit overfeatured for that ;)

I wonder, what RSS readers you are using? I have been trying a few and I am not impressed. Fairly good ones are available, but they come pre-loaded and fully bloated with stuff you have to delete manually :-(

Feedburner recommends a few, but before I download more, i would be interessted to get to know your opinion!

After netscape went down in market share, the browser war was over. The domination of Microsoft seemed to be final. Then the new guys on the block made it right: an open source (= free like "speech" and free like "for no money") browser, based on the original netscape sources, came along.

Now known as "FireFox", by some still called Mozilla, the browser took back market share - fast and over 12% in quite some time. I use it, too!

So, tradebit became 100% firefox compatible AND we work on IE as well. Actually I am a foxy explorer, I guess ;-)

Yeah, I know, I shall not work on Win, but I like it :-) - For me, Linux is a server OS and Win is the desktop OS. So, like most people on this planet, I am beyond the fight between Linux and Win. Nevertheless, I love the power of the Linux editor "vi" and in my opinion there are only a few Windows editors, which can compete with the free software.

The editing features are endless and after a few days you will be able to complete editing tasks faster!

There is a free trial, you might want to take a look at!
