Hi all - new to Tradebit.

I have pre-existing paypal payments in the form of monthly subscriptions with my clients. I intend to sell digital files only through my own site and not through Tradebit.

I enabled the IPN and relevant URL in my PayPal to allow sales to occur. Will this affect my ability to receive non-tradebit payments through my PayPal account? Will this force all my payments to go through Tradebit and therefore cost me unnecessarily through Tbit?

Thanks in advance for your assistance.

Hi, I never sold on here before, I was wondering if I sell on here if paypal is going to charge me fees(Like they normally do when I sell on ebay). On top of what tradebit takes out for there commission or does tradebit take care of that on there end. Basically I want to know if money will be coming out for any other reason besides a refund. Thanks for listening. :D

hi ralf...
just noticed something that sparked my curiosity...
i noticed that when we get our paypal payouts from tradebit.... we do not incur any paypal transaction fees. not complaining of course, thats great.
but, how is that possible? i'm sure you guys get hit with a paypal transaction fee for each individual product purchased. does paypal have some kind of feature that you guys use as the 'middleman' that allows you to payout to merchants that avoids a secondary fee being passed on to us?

In the past months we have added quite a bunch of files to our watchlist - among those are titles like "Harry Potter" ebooks, O'Reilly eBooks, Microsoft products, adult material in various forms and other files people just love to upload and which are illegal.

So let me post here once more for the people who try it over and over: Sometimes a file slips our attention but sooner or later someone will point it out and then we will delete the whole account, block the email from re-signup and freeze all funds on the account to give it back to the buyers...

Sometimes we look into the file and sometimes it is sooo obviously a copyright violation that we do not even bother to open it. Over time this ramps up a solid database of blocked IPs and keywords which raise a flag in our system. Stay away from such files and you will enjoy a good time on tradebit.

Hello, I submitted a ticket but I have yet to hear a response, so I figured I would see if this was any faster. I'm brand new to tradebit, so bare with me if I ask any questions that have already been asked. First off, I have read some of the previous posts and looked at some of the videos, but it seems as if the layout for not only tradebit, but paypal as well have changed a little.

I need to be able to sell my song downloads off of my own website and just need to know how to do this. I tried to copy and paste the IPN to my paypal account, but there seems to not be an Instant Payment Notification link under the profile section of paypal. And secondly, how do I go about getting the buttons and such to put on my site and is there any extra coding that I have to do after I get the buttons? And what do I need to do to have my products taken off of the Tradebit marketplace and only use my website as being the place to buy them?

Thanks for any help, again sorry if I ask a question that's already been answered.
Regards,

Hi,
What is the recommended image size /format?
I browsed to my image folder and tried both a png and also a gif.
Both of these look funky with black backgrounds instead of clear or white.
I have these on a website elsewhere and they look fine - so I think I just
need to reformat to your preferred style.

I gonna guess now - 100x100 or 200x200 pixels? Format is JPG?

Thanks,

I just received an email from some guy telling me about a site called tradesbit.com, same concept as tradebit. I went to the site and its like a greyscaled clone of tradebit's former template. With the name being so close and the site looking exactly the same I almost wonder if its a spoof site designed to steal passwords, but they seem to be recruiting members. I'd like to know who these guys are, but i'm assuming i was spammed by a tradebit member. Another thing suspicious was the email was sent from tradesbit@hotmail.com. They didn't even have an email address from the website's domain.

Did anyone else receive this email also? Can anyone shed some light on this? Thanks.
