Files on my own server...

Hey Ralf,

Man you've been busy.

I really like the wordpress plugin. I installed it and started using it yesterday.

I'm thinking that having the files on my server is best. I already keep a copy of every file on my server because of my FREE Bonus program. But, I need to have everything password protected.

So before I validate my server I wanted to be certain that I understand the code.

Code example: [server]

My web address is [www.chucksplace.net]

So, lets say I create a file called "stuff" and password protect it with "user=george" and "password=mark".

Would my code need to be this:

[chucksplace.net] ?

Also, I know you've been busy but have you received my 2 emails this week?

Chuck, you understood the implementation WITH password right. Please note this is roll-out version 1.0 and publishing the login and password this way is not the perfect one. Yet it is simple and straight forward, what we like best!

Just be aware: the link is hidden and not visible for the average buyer. BUT a skilled geek will find the direct link if he looks for it. It is a compromise and secure enough in our world.

AND: just answered your emails, sorry for that delay. A lot on my plate these days!

hi chuck,

we saw that your external link does not work because of the & and the ; in the password... you should try and click the link that you register and see if you can download it directly yourself, before you put the link into the catalog! that should help!

Hey Ralf,

I have tried to change my server url from "Easy Admin > My Config > Add Server" and it won't let me.

I keep getting the red box at the top and it says "invalid url page".

I have tried this many ways.

First, I changed the password on the folder and tried to change the url. -Didn't work-
Next, I changed it back and the old url validated fine, then I tried to add another folder with the new password. -Didn't work-

And I can view the Validation page in my browser from both folders.

I'm using the password that Martin told me to use in his email.

Please advise...
