How to use tradebit.com with clickbank or paydotcom for affiliate marketing!

Hey guys,

I have a question for you. How do you track sales of an e product via an affiliate using a tradebit generated paypal button code. In otherwords, how do you set up an affiliate program for the sale of the digital goods on tradebit.com?

Right now, when you click on a tradebit.com buy now button, it takes my customers' to either a paypal cart and then an e-mail is sent to them with a link to download the file or they can proceed to a page with the actual file , but I don't think there is any specific static sales page url.

So my question is, I was checking out some affiliate program sercvices with paydotcom.com and clickbank, and what they want from you is:

1. A sales pitch page...I guess here is where I would put the url of my product sales page from my website

and then 2) A thank you page. This is where customer's are taken to after they pay for it, but I don't believe tradebit.com has a thank you url that is static for a successful pay per download transaction. Rather the client is sent a link with alot of code to download the file and not an actual http based url, so what would I put over on paydotcom.com or clickbank?


Also, if someone wants to become an affiliate for my product, is there a sign up page for them, where they can create a username and then also a place where they can create a link with their own agent id.
So I can track their sales?

hi maax,

tradebit integrates with both platforms, but you have to decide for one... the URL for the service is in the member area in the SALES section...

there is one for clickbank and one for paydotcom.com... look in the left menu in the SALES main section.

I do see it. It says

n order to use PayDotCom you need
to give us your secret word:

Secret word:
(You use this, when you enter new products on PayDotCom. For simplicity, always use the same word - we will enhance this later ...)

Some help and hints:

* Add the IDs to your products for PayDotCom: Each product you want to sell via PayDotCom needs to have that product ID, which is provided after the product was setup there, entered here in your product detail page.

* Call up the detail page of your product with an "/pdc" at the end of the detail URL - that looks like that:

[www.tradebit.com]

The number in the URL is your file id on tradebit! You need this URL to register products with PayDotCom!

Okay .....so here is my question.

ON paydotcom.com

My secret word for my product is digital
so I guess I would enter that in the paydotcom secret word text box in the sales area right.

Now another thing is this. Here is the form on paydotcom.com that I need to fill out . Tell me if I have done this correctly:


Product Name: Here I have put the name of my e-book..The same name I have on tradebit.com

Description: Here is what I have put a description of my product

Price: I have set up the price as $59.95

Sales Page URL: this is the page on my site where I offer the sales pitch
and it includes the buy now button at the bottom for people to click on to purchase my e-book. It is [www.maaximumseduction.com]

Thank You URL: Here is what I have put [www.tradebit.com]


This is the page they get only after they make a successful payment to you.

Accept PayPal: I have selected yes and have entered my paypal e-mail

Accept StormPay:

Send Receipt Email 1:

Send Receipt Email 2:

Charge Period:
Bill Each and Every
(0 for regular non-recurring products) *

Now at the bottom are two other text boxes :

Advanced Users Only: (OPTIONAL) ? Developers Guide (PDF)

IPN URL: Now here is where I have put

[www.tradebit.com] which I got from my tradebit account

IPN Secret Code: Here is the secret code that I have put which is "digital"

Note: Leave your IPN URL blank if you are not an advanced user. Secret

Now when I click on their buy now button. It does take me successfully to my shopping cart, where they can pay for my e-book. but my question is, my book has been uploaded to tradebit and not paydotcom and currently tradebit is responsible for sending my customers' the download link via e-mail or to another site where they can download my product. Will that stay the same, or will paydotcom send my customer's the download link?

It never asked me for my tradebit.com product code when I registered my product on paydotcom.com , or would I put that into the product name field on paydotcom.com?

So where would I add my tradebit.com generated product id codes. Please clarify!

I too am having issues with delivery with PDc - secret word? where does this go in PDC - PDC does not ask for a creation of a secret word

3.) enter your first product on PayDotCom with the IPN URL we provide in the paypal config menu and the URL from tradebit plus an /pdc at the end (see config page on tradebit for more info)

Ralf, what do you mean by this

This is worded to imply that you must put the IPN URL and the URL from tradebit

So there are two urls' here?

Or do you mean to put a pdc after the IPN URL you provide? Please be clear....

the IPN urls are identical for both platforms: take the one for Paypal and put it into the product config of PDC...

Here is what the product confi asks me on paydotcom!!!!!!!!!

Product Name: Do I just put the name of my product I guess right. Which is the name of my ebook

Description: Easy!

Price: Easy
Sales Page URL: Here I put the sales page on my website where I pitch the book and on it is the paydotcom generated buy now code
Thank You URL: is the thank you url provided by tradebit.com

Then there are aother fields at the bottom which ask :
