First of all, I would like to thank the guys at Tradebit for offering a great service at a reasonable price. I just got around to reading the message about the change in business model, and I understand that its necessary to keep Tradebit going, so do as you must. However I stumbled over the line:
"We will ask for a 25% revenue share on all sales generated by us."
What exactly is meant by sales generated by Tradebit? Does it include the sales that sellers generate for themselves on their own personal websites that tradebit only handles the digital delivery for? Does it include the sales generated on eBay that we have to pay eBay fees for? Or is Tradebit planning on actively promoting our digital products and then take 25% commission for the sales that are generated by Tradebit?
As far as I know, I have to promote my products myself and Tradebit handles the payment processing and digital delivery. Where does Tradebit actually generate sales?
On top of all the contextual advertising fees, ebay fees (insertion, final value), and paypal fees, now we can take another 25% away from our bottom line. It kinda sux in a way.
Another question, since Tradebit will be holding our payments in escrow, will Tradebit now be responsible for handling refunds for payments in between the scheduled seller payouts? I would hate to have to make refunds on money that hasn't even been paid to me yet.
Just some questions that hopefully someone at Tradebit can offer clarification on. Thanks in advance.
